TryIt ("we", "us") operates the TryIt Chrome extension and the website at extension.tryit.clothing. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it's handled.

What we collect

• Email address — when you create an account or sign in, via Firebase Authentication.
• Photos you upload — the photo you provide for try-on is sent to our AI backend to generate a result image. It is not stored on our servers after processing.
• Try-on results — generated images are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). We do not store them on our servers.
• Payment information — if you subscribe to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
• Usage data — we may log basic API request metadata (e.g. timestamp, error codes) for debugging. This is not linked to your identity.

What we don't collect

• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your photos for model training.
• We do not track your browsing activity outside of supported shopping sites.

How we use your data

Your email is used solely to authenticate your account and send transactional emails (password reset, subscription confirmation). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

Your photo is used only to generate your try-on result and is discarded after processing.

Third-party services

• Firebase (Google) — authentication. Privacy policy.
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Privacy policy.
• Google Gemini API — AI model used to generate try-on images. Images are processed per Google's API data handling policies.

Data retention

Account data (email) is retained until you delete your account. Try-on history and favorites are stored in your browser's local storage and can be cleared at any time from your dashboard.

Your rights

You can delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hi@tryit.clothing. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
