TryIt ("we", "our", or "us") provides a Chrome extension and companion web app that lets you virtually try on clothing using a photo of yourself. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Data We Collect
- Account information: Your email address and password, collected when you create an account or sign in. Passwords are managed securely by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text.
- Photos you upload: Photos you provide for try-on are sent to our AI backend solely to generate the try-on result image. We do not store your photos on our servers beyond the duration of a single request.
- Try-on history: Generated try-on result images and associated product metadata are stored in your account so you can access your history.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate you and maintain your account.
- To generate virtual try-on results using your uploaded photo and selected clothing items.
- To display your try-on history and favorites within the app.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate TryIt:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication and database storage.
